Officials stated the 40-year-old presenter was approached by three suspects, one of whom opened fire on him before fleeing on foot.

Authorities said that Stock was targeted as he was leaving a building close to the Carlton Centre.

He had devoted time at the property overseeing the implementation of security systems, which had been controversially occupied by squatters, it was reported.

"The report indicates the man was confronted by three unknown suspects after he parked his car, and they shot at him before running from the location on foot," authorities stated.

Security camera video showed a man with dreadlocks and wearing what appeared to be a protective services outfit opening fire on Stock before making his escape.

The DJ sought to escape after he was wounded but fell down on the opposite side of the road.

Officials noted that Stock had an weapon on his person and no items were stolen during the assault.
