England take on the Chinese team – Female Exhibition International
Preamble
Greetings and welcome to the non-competitive fixture between England and China at the iconic Wembley. An exciting encounter is anticipated with the European Championship holders taking on the holders of the Asian Cup title.
The iconic Wembley is fully booked for the occasion, which will see the celebrated Fran Kirby recognized pre-match after her retirement from the national team before the Euros this past summer.
Squad announcements will be revealed soon, but there was a recent squad update for England. On Friday, Khiara Keating withdrew from the squad with a minor injury, and so former number one Ellie Roebuck has been added to the squad.
With Hannah Hampton out of action, it will be interesting to see who the Lionesses' coach Sarina Wiegman selects in goal. Those details along with further updates are incoming before the opening whistle at 5:30 in the evening GMT.
Squad Updates
Squad details are now available. Anna Moorhouse is the starting keeper for England in the absence of Hannah Hampton and Khiara Keating.
The Lionesses: Moorhouse, Bronze, Charles, Walsh, Le Tissier, Morgan, Mead, Stanway, Russo, Toone, Hemp.
Bench: Hings, Baggaley, Kendall, Wubben-Moy, Beever-Jones, Kelly, Kearns, Park, Blindkilde Brown, Roebuck, Clinton, Denton, Fisk, Godfrey.
We are awaiting China’s team news now; when it comes through, I will post it.
Skipper News
Keira Walsh is serving as captain for the Lionesses with Leah Williamson still unfit. She shared these thoughts before this clash:

First Cap News
The upcoming fixture will be Anna Moorhouse's maiden cap for England. She belonged to the European Championship squad who claimed victory this past summer, but she did not feature with Hannah Hampton in the starting goalkeeper role.
